The bread Nazi

Overheard:

“Eh, don’t buy this brand of bread.” -N/B: it is significantly cheaper than, say, Gardenia or Sunshine.

“Why? There’s more bread, and for a cheaper price.”

“Because it’s very rough and therefore it’s low-grade. Don’t be cheapskate.”

Ah…bread elitism.

Pinned by an elevator

Pinned by an elevator

For this to have happened, there must have been enough cases.

Don’t try to take a trash can into an undersized elevator that has no inner door, kids. You’ll just end up getting pinned.

Failure

This is for some people – you know who you are.

Failure does not mean I’m a failure;
It does mean I have not yet succeeded.

Failure does not mean I have accomplished nothing;
It does mean I have learned something.

Failure does not mean I have been a fool;
It does mean I had enough faith to experiment.

Failure does not mean I have disgraced;
It does mean I have dared to try.

Failure does not mean I don’t have it;
It does mean I have something to do in a different way.

Failure does not mean I am inferior;
It does mean I am not perfect.

Failure does not mean I have wasted my life;
It does mean that I have an excuse to start over.

Failure does not mean that I should give up;
It does mean that I should try harder.

Failure does not mean that I will never make it;
It does mean that I need more practice.

Failure does not mean that you have abandoned me;
It does mean that you must have a better idea

The void

I tumble into that void once more. Nary but a few weeks it has been, but again they rush around me, enveloping me like a familiar, yet unwanted cloak. I keep wishing that it’s a dream, but it’s not. These empty visions of dystopia have become reality. The real and the hidden have blended as one; I am lost.
